Optimist & Topper Hire

The region has a fleet of Optimists and Toppers available for hire. Current rates per fleet, inc. VAT are £60 per day, £100 for a weekend and £200 for Monday to Friday.

Six Oppies, new in 2009, are kept at The Mill Adventure Base, Sutton in Ashfield, on a road trailer.

Mast head floats

Two mast head floats are available for clubs to try for free. They are a great way of preventing entrapments, stopping masts getting stuck in the mud and preventing inversions – thereby reducing the time swimming and increasing the time sailing. This should result in increased satisfaction on courses.
